Explanation in English: This verse from the Srimad Bhagavatam (1.1.12) continues the dialogue between the sages and Suta:

  • Blessing and Acknowledgment: The sages bless Suta (Bhadram Te) and acknowledge that he knows (Jānāsi) about the Lord (Bhagavān), the protector of the Satvatas (Sātvataṃ Patiḥ).
  • Divine Birth: They refer to the Lord who was born (Jātaḥ) to Devaki and Vasudeva (Devakyāṃ Vasudevasya) with a specific purpose (Chikīrṣayā).

In essence, this verse highlights the sages’ recognition of Suta’s knowledge about the divine birth and purpose of Lord Krishna.
