Bhagwat Puran - skanda 1 - Adhyay -1 , shloka - 1 - English & hindi meaning

 जन्माद्यस्य यतोऽन्वयादितरतः चार्थेष्वभिज्ञः स्वराट् ।

तेने ब्रह्म हृदा य आदिकवये मुह्यन्ति यत् सूरयः ।
तेजोवारिमृदां यथा विनिमयो यत्र त्रिसर्गोऽमृषा ।
धाम्ना स्वेन सदा निरस्तकुहकं सत्यं परं धीमहि । १ ॥


 

English Meaning:

  1. "जन्माद्यस्य यतोऽन्वयादितरतः चार्थेष्वभिज्ञः स्वराट्": This line praises the Supreme God, who is the source of creation and from whom everything originates. He is aware of the past, present, and future, and is self-sufficient.

  2. "तेने ब्रह्म हृदा य आदिकवये मुह्यन्ति यत् सूरयः": It indicates that the Supreme Being has imparted the Vedic knowledge to Brahma, the first created being, who himself is revered and enlightened, and who imparts this knowledge to other sages.

  3. "तेजोवारिमृदां यथा विनिमयो यत्र त्रिसर्गोऽमृषा": This verse explains that the creation, preservation, and dissolution of the universe are all part of a grand and illusory cosmic play, which is ultimately real in the divine context.

  4. "धाम्ना स्वेन सदा निरस्तकुहकं सत्यं परं धीमहि": It concludes by affirming that we meditate upon the Supreme Truth, who is eternally free from all illusions and deception, and who is the ultimate reality.

हिन्दी में अर्थ:

  1. "जन्माद्यस्य यतोऽन्वयादितरतः चार्थेष्वभिज्ञः स्वराट्": यह पंक्ति सर्वोच्च भगवान की स्तुति करती है, जो सृष्टि के स्रोत हैं और जिनसे सब कुछ उत्पन्न होता है। वह भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्य के ज्ञाता हैं और स्वयं ही सब कुछ हैं।

  2. "तेने ब्रह्म हृदा य आदिकवये मुह्यन्ति यत् सूरयः": यह दर्शाता है कि सर्वोच्च सत्ता ने वेद ज्ञान को ब्रह्मा, पहले सृजित प्राणी को दिया, जो स्वयं पूजनीय और प्रबुद्ध हैं, और जो इस ज्ञान को अन्य ऋषियों को प्रदान करते हैं।
