 तत्र तत्राञ्जसाऽऽयुष्मन् भवता यद् विनिश्चितम् ।

पुंसां एकान्ततः श्रेयः तन्नः शंसितुमर्हसि । ०९ ॥

हिंदी में व्याख्या: यह श्लोक श्रीमद्भागवतम (1.1.9) में ऋषियों और सूत के बीच संवाद को जारी रखता है:

  • मार्गदर्शन की प्रार्थना: ऋषि सूत को “आयुष्मान” (दीर्घायु) कहकर संबोधित करते हैं और उनसे अनुरोध करते हैं कि वे जो मानवता (पुंसां) के लिए सर्वोच्च कल्याण (एकान्ततः श्रेयः) है, उसे (विनिश्चितम्) हमें बताएं (शंसितुमर्हसि)।
  • सर्वोच्च कल्याण की खोज: वे उनसे मार्गदर्शन चाहते हैं कि लोगों के लिए सबसे उच्च और लाभकारी मार्ग क्या है।
